Default Restoring to 4.0.2 from 2.0.1

Hey guys, i need help with something, i have an iPhone 3g with FW 2.0.1 that i need to restore to 4.0.2 but i also need to jailbreak and unlock. Now since 4.1 is out the soft SHSH check is not letting me restore to 4.0.2, I've being reading that this is a soft check and can easily by bypassed with redsnow or PWnage tool (i don't use mac i use windows) but i'm not sure how since redsnow it's a jailbreaking tool not a restoring tool.

Can anyone help me clarify this doubt?

    Thanks.

Pwnagetool to 4.0 and instal PDF security fix from Cydia

Make sure you enable the update baseband option inCydia. I doubt the 2.x baseband will work in 4.0

Not any that we can recommend.

Windows users can use sn0wbreeze at their own risk. You will not get any support for sn0wbreeze on this forum.

I recommend that you borrow a mac and use the official (and more reliable) pwnagetool.
