hello i was wondering if i get a brand new 3G iphone from someplace besides the apple store, ATT, or Bestbuy. can i open the iphone then jailbreak it and then if i put my ATT sim card in the iphone, will i be able to use it as a regular phone. by this i mean will i be able to pay the regular phone bill instead of iphones own plan which is about$60 a month. i want to know if i could just pay 9.99 for the add a line and use my iphone on that plan.

It's possible, but AT&T knows when you're using an iPhone on a non-iPhone plan, and they'll annoy you incessantly about it.

but is that all that they will do, is just annoy you. and when the unlock solution comes out will they still be able to tell i am using an iphone on a non iphone plan?
