Hi,

I currently have an unlocked 2.2 iphone 3g with Cincinnati Bell. I am roaming right now and it uses ATT network. My 3G doesnt work when roaming though. Does anyone have any ideas why? Also, when i am not roaming the freqencies for 3G are the same as T-Mobiles (weird right?)

I had a G1 that worked with 3G while in Cincinnati but I had to put in a bunch of other stuff like Proxy settings and ports under the APN settings. Could that effect 3G roaming? Is there a way to enter proxy settings in the iphone for the cell network?

When I turn 3G on my iphone, I get no internet at all or sometimes I do get edge. When 3G is off I get edge easily.

Any help would be great

Edit: I do get Edge service with 3G enabled. Also, I somehow can send and receive texts messages while the phone still says searching (after toggling airplane mode)

My phone connects on the downlink frequency every once in awhile (1900 MHZ) but it never establishes full 3G. Does anyone have any advice for similar problems?

I am posting again to get a bump. I am hoping someone can help.
