Im trying to restore my 3g iphone but I get same 1002 error all the time.
What should I do?
windows xp - itunes 8
Its is a factory unlocked iphone (tim italy)

Did you try to DFU restore, that usually helps. Have an Italian unlocked aswell.

what is the filmware version before you try to restore? (if it is the old filmware you can try to hit "update" when connect to itunes).
Or, you can try to downgrade your itunes and do a quick DFU then restore your phone using old itunes.
Last but not the least, try to restore using difference computer. (some how this may help)

Different computer do not help.
