I'm thinking of buying a German Iphone 3G; where tmobile is the service provider; "unlock" it, and use it here with my tmobile sim.
This way shouldn't it run automatically on the us tmobile 3G network ? ? ?

if t-mobile us have either 850/1900/2100 3G network ;) t-mobile us only have 1700 :P

Whats the point ? You will anyways not be able to buy it in Germany without a contract!
