Reset a locked iphone
So after days of searching on the internet and no useful advise to my situation I decided to post on this form since over all has the most knowledgable members out of my searching.
I didnt think I had an unlocked iphone since my dad had ordered it for me and I didnt even consider the fact that it would be an at&t iphone since im canadian, but I got it and had no problems with it for months on my rogers network. I was visiting my family in the states and decided that i would put some games on it to kill time on the flights but to do that i needed to update it, and when I did it gave me an invalid sim card error, and I figured it was a bug from the patch so I just factory restored it, and got a new sim card properly configured for an iphone from rogers (not at&t) but now I cant even access my iphone because it needs to be plugged into itunes to get the basic software (my assumption, it just gives me the same error and my iphone just has a plug into computer logo on its screen)
I have tried removing my sim card and doing it but it just gives me an error on itunes telling me to put in the simcard, which then locks me out.
All the information i have found on forms and the useless apple staff have been about initial unlocking but I cant access my iphone to unlock it in the first place
any help would be very appreciated, and for anyone not familiar with canadian cellphone industry we do not have at&t so I cannot take it to them.
Sounds like your phone was unoficially unlocked and you didn't follow the advice of "stay on the pwnagetool train"

My guess is that it will say 4.2.1, 5.15.04 baseband and 6.4 baseband bootloader.
Report back what Tiny Umbrella says and then we can help you.
Also confirm that you have a 3G iPhone, not a 3GS
Everything you said is exactly what it saids in tiny, and yes it is a 3g
