Reboot Cycle + Broken power button = Hopeless?
I seem to have gotten myself into a rather hopless situation.
My iPhone 3G was running iOS 4.2.1, was jailbroken and had the iPad baseband.
Now I did the mistake to chose "Settings > Reset > Delete all Data and Stuff" (dunno how it's actually called) because I wanted to sell it as I got a new phone (no not an iPhone, shame on me).
Now after the reset process has completed the iPhone tried to reboot, but somehow fails and reboots again. A dead cycle, continuing until the batterie is drained.
Now my dilemma is, that I cannot bring it into recovery mode using a button combination, as my power/lock button is broken.
Is there some way to communicate with a booting iPhone via USB so as to bring it into recovery mode? Is there any hope at all? (aside from trying to fix the power button, which I tried to do, but failed)
