Question about bootloader 05.09 and iOS 4.0.1
So I have a 3g phone that was on 4.0.1 and unlocked/JB. Worked great. I wanted to prep the phone for selling and used the erase setting on the phone to get rid of personal information. It got stuck on the apple for hours. I finally tried re JB it, but didn't have any luck. Tried restore using different firmwares, with no luck. I gave in on a restore with 4.1 knowing I'd have to restore to a lower one later to unlock, but didn't know my baseband would be stuck on 05.14.02 (4.1's baseband) My question is this:
If I attempt a restore to 4.0.1, will I still be stuck with this baseband that can't be unlocked as long as I have bootloader 05.09?? Or will it change the baseband to something that can be unlocked? I was planning on using Fuzzyband, but that doesn't work on the 05.09 bootloader. Should I just wait until a new bootloader downgrade comes out from Fuzzyband, or the dev team comes up with a solution? I'd rather leave it on a 3.X firmware since I've seen how doggy and slow 4.X is. Thanks for any help!
