No Service after RedSn0w - Another one ..

Previously my iphone 3G was stuck in a loop but managed to use RedSn0w to kick it out of the routine. Now, I have a less severe "No Service" problem. My WiFi works fine. I have tried the following options: Network resetting, airplane OFF mode, swapping another SIM card. I do not want to restore to a newer version as suggested by the AT&T people.

I have read many postings & have searched through the internet but could not find a real fix. I am sure this is a known issue and has been addressed by many friends here.

3G -16GB (White)
Version 3.1.2 (7D11)
Firmware 05.11.07
AT&T Sim card (Subscriber)

Did you have a non-AT&T card in the phone when you jailbroke it with redsn0w?

Have you installed blacksn0w at all?

There is nothing stopping you from restoring OS 3.1.2 and setting up your phone as new to see if that fixes it.

I installed blacksn0w yesterday evening and it worked. It detected the AT&T carrier, as well as, a TMobile sim card that I loaned from a friend this a.m. to test. To answer your question, I did leave the AT&T card in there when I applied Redsn0w.

Glad it worked.. You should not normally need blacksn0w for AT&T - but because you jailbroke before letting iTunes activate the phone normally with the AT&T SIM - so redsn0w hacktivated the phone
