Iphone 3gs for 400-450$?

Hi all,

At the moment my brother is in new york and he told me some of the little (dodgy looking) stores are claiming to be selling 3gs iphones for 400-450$.

I was doing some research but i cant find any store that sell them anything near that price. What's the deal with these stores? Are they selling fake iphones(is that possible in new york?)

I was reading some articles that AT&T had some issues with their online store because of fraude and wouldnt serve people from NY anymore. Could it have something to do with this?

There are plenty of iPhone fakes around. Most are much cheaper than that.
Could also have been a batch of iPhones that are stolen and will end up IMEI blacklisted eventually. Which is why they are being sold cheaply get them sold before they get blocked.

Be careful, do your research before buying.
