Iphone 3G Error code: 1015

Hey Everyone,
I really need some assistance with my Iphone 3G in recovery mode.

Before:
Baseband 4.26.08
Firmware: 4.0
Carrier: T-Mobile

Now:
Baseband 5.12.01
Firmware 3.1.2

I created a custom 3.1.2ipsw. with pwnage.
I put my phone in recovery mode. On my macbook I hold down alt/option in itune and click recover.
Loaded my custom 3.1.2 ipsw and everything went well until the final stage, it pops up a error code 1015.

I use another program called tiny umbrella and recboot and none of them work. I'm still stuck in the recovery mode.
I don't know how my baseband got updated to 5.12.01.

Anyways can someone please provide a step by step guide on how to get out of the recovery mode.

Baseband 05.12.01 could only have been installed if you attempted to restore to 3.1.3 at some point, but that's not a big deal at this point, you should be on 3.1.3, ultrasn0w 0.93 unlocked that baseband. Since you're on a 3G, you don't need SHSH to get to 3.1.3 -- I recommend upgrading to it.

You have a couple options at this point. If you're resisting iOS 4 because of performance issues, then what you should do is create the custom 3.1.3 firmware like you did already, making sure to let PwnageTool strip the baseband update from the phone. This is not *necessary*, since you're already on the 3.1.3 baseband, but it's good practice nevertheless. Put the phone in DFU mode (not recovery!) and restore the custom 3.1.3. You will still get the 1015 and you will need to use TinyUmbrella to kick the phone out of recovery mode -- this is expected behavior. The phone should then kick out of recovery and boot to a jailbroken 3.1.3.

If you don't mind iOS 4, you should use PwnageTool to create a custom 4.2.1 iOS and restore that to the phone. Alternately, you can upgrade to 4.2.1 directly and use redsn0w to jailbreak the running version. Upgrading directly WILL upgrade your baseband, but that's fine, because the 4.2.1 baseband is unlockable with ultrasn0w, so you aren't locking your phone.

I don't believe you'll be able to get out of recovery mode unless you do one of these two things, as the phone seems to be bootlooped in recovery now, meaning it likely needs a reflash.
