Dude, at the CPW you have to pass a credit check and sign an 18month contract and activate in store if you buy in store or if you buy online you still have to sign the 18 month contract but you do it online and activate it using itunes when the phone gets delivered.
Bottom line is
You will not get an iPhone 3G without signing the 18 month contract.
