Help! 3.1.3 jailbreak problems

Hi all looking for bit of help I got a 8gb iPhone 3g I had it jailbroke on 3.1.2 no worries crashed and got stuck in restart loop had to restore from fresh and updated to 3.1.3 lost my jail broke so tried redsn0w and the app just wouldn't start not compatible with my powermac g4? So downloaded pwnagetool and tried jailbreaking the 3.1.2 ipsw like everyone seems to reccomend and it just crashed while restoring through iTunes so tried the 3.1.3 ipsw and it worked!! But couldn't get any signal! So downloaded ultrasn0w on cydia (even tho I am on a proper o2 iPhone contract) and it picked up my voicemal etc but no service I did have a a funny phone symbol up by the battery but can't find out what it means can anybody help? Or suggest an easier jailbreak? Wud like to try sn0wbreeze but I'm a mac user and redsn0w won't run? Any ideas on that? Cheers peeps

Did you restore to Apple 3.1.3 IPSW or custom 3.1.3 IPSW?

What modem base-band does your iPhone have now?

What version of pwnagetool / redsn0w / iTunes, you need to provide more details.

Hiya mate cheers for reply my baseband is now 05.12.01 which I think is what's giving me the grief so I tried fuzzyband from cydia which was not compatible as iv got a 5.9 bootloader my iTunes is the newest 9.0.3 and to get to 3.1.3 I had to use apples ipsw as my phone jammed in restart loop pwnagetool I think is 3.1.5 which did jailbreak but left me with no service from o2 am I right in thinkin the basebands the problem?

Yes it's the baseband.

I thort so! Bollix!! Guess il just have to wait for a new clean jailbreak :( I ain't buyin bugger all off iTunes tho when I know u get it free off dtunes!
