firmware 2.2.1 GPS Banned in Egypt ??

Hello for all ... befor that we see here in this link how to make GPS work in Egypt [SOLVED for firmware 2.2] GPS Banned in Egypt - Hackint0sh
So now can we use the same this method with Firmware 2.2.1 to make GPS work or .. what we doing ...

I tested it and it worked fine (vodafone line), don't know about mobinil

has anyone tried the 2.2 method for 2.2.1? would it be safe to do so?

actually after i sync my iphone with itunes (to be specific i made a backup it took very long time) on the old firmware 2.2 then Gps disabled and i tried to rePatch with the same method but still not working, then i used the new firmware 2.2.1 a customized file with the old baseband 2.28.00 and repatch unfortunately still not working.

i use legal iphone from vodafone EG

I guess loacatiod in 2.2.1 is different from the version in 2.2. has nothing to do with the baseband, the check is done in locationd.
