Well on another forum there was a Sudanese Hackers that claims the have unlocked the baseband 2.30 by a software made by them and this software is in his beta phase and it works for any bootloader ...
the Final realease will be published on 28/6/2009 and will be total free and guaranteed ...
i hope these are real news cause this will help lots of ppl :) !!
i'm gonna track this personally and see if it's true

this would change everythin .. and it may help unlocking the iphone 3.0 os .. it may be easier to make the baseband 2.30 talk to the firmware 3.0 more than 2.28 to the firmware 3.0 .. if it's really unlocked :) !!

As far as iphone 2G goes, that phone is forever unlocked.
The Dev Team will have unlocked FW 3.0 before then - they won't be unlocking 2.21 so if someone else wants to unlock 2.21 when everyone has upgraded to 3.0 then best of luck to them!
well what if the baseband 4.26 is not unlocked :) !?? we will have to stay with the 2.30 thats ofcourse if you want to have an unlocked iphone :) !! and i hope they aren't scammers ..
They are almost certainly scammers.
But I don't thinks you need to worry about BB 4.2x not being unlocked ;)
I've seen kind of this clam made to often & they always turn out to be false.
A bad quality youtube video will be next thing they do :rolleyes:
i hope so :) !! i wanna them to unlock the new baseband as fast as they can we are all waiting for the Dev-Team :) !!
