3g on 3.1.2 with broken power / sleep button stuck on reboot loop

Hey

So im in an interesting situation. My iphone froze after installing a cydia app and after about 20 min it booted to the apple screen. Now i know from here you should put the phone into recovery mode but heres the twist.......my power / sleep button seems to be broken so when i hold it and the home button it doesn't respond.

The phones running 3.1.2 with blacksn0w......I tried blacksn0w again and it put it into recovery mode and then showed the picture of geohot but after rebooting it went back to the apple logo....

Im not sure how i can fix this?

Blacksn0w is an unlock. Your jailbreak is either blackra1n or redsn0w. Probably blackra1n.

You can use custom ipsw (pwnagetool)

Let the iPhone go flat it will automatically turn off when it does.

Then plug it in to charge, it will display a charging symbol for a while and then when it gets enough charge it will turn itself on. If you hold down the home button while it is turning on then it should boot into recovery mode. Then you can restore a pwnagetool custom ipsw via iTunes.
