It does look greasy, but I am sure more than one person has handled as it is pretty awesome. So it maybe grease from several peoples hands that were passing it around. But how did they even get it? It hasnt been released yet.

I believe he's thinking like this: Why would they sell a phone that's locked to one carrier and then send with a tool to change the sim-card?
But the truth is that they also sell the phone unlocked and they got shit for not sending a tool with the first generation.
First off, that is the way that I am thinking. I'm pretty sure I new that the SIM ejector tool was to well...eject the sim card...but what is the reason including it? The iPhone obviously is meant to be sold locked to one carrier and unlike the quote they DO NOT SELL THE PHONE UNLOCKED I think you're confusing that with the no-commitment iPhone for $599 I think?

Vodafone Portugal has sent some 3g iphones out for testing. Some magazines had them for a few days. My girlfriend works at a Vodafone store and tomorrow she and her co-workers will have specific formation for the 3g iphone.

    Default Demo Unit?

Well according to macrumors LINK http://www.macrumors.com/2008/07/08/...boxing-photos/ the iPhone 3G in the pictures appears to be a demo unit. That could also be why it is activated?

Also at this link: http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=513386 all they talk about it those fingerprints all over the black casing. Its ridiculous! So many people loved the iPhone since it did not have the shiny metal like the iTouch as it's back so no fingerprints would show up, so what now, they put a more grease attracting plastic to the back! Is it just me or does Apple like have grease all over there products?

D you see the carrier VP P I think. Is that a real carrier or is this a jailbroken phone?

    Default Vf P

That's a good question... I saw that it says VF P not VP P, but after some googling I didn't get anything... Does anybody know VF P???

Take a look at this http://www.unlockedapplephone.com/gsm.html for the list of carriers in Portugal, I don't see a "VF P"?
