O2 to release iPhone 3G on PAYG in UK Sept 16

O2 UK website says iPhone pay-as-you-go will be released in the UK on September 16 for £349.99 for 8GB and £399.99 for 16GB

hopefully not sim locked. but I cant see it to be honest

I reckon will just work with a PAYG o2 sim.

will mean we can buy iPhones now without contracts at least, even if they cannot be used with any operator other than o2 whilst we still await an unlock
