Hi. On my iPhone 3G, with iOS 4.2.1/redsn0w 0.9.6b4, trying to switch apps through the multitasking bar brings me to the lock screen, and unlocking just brings me to the home screen (the apps don't get loaded). Don't know if this is a software issue which can be corrected, or if this just reflects the hardware limitations that kept Apple from supporting the 3G with multitasking in the first place.

Sorry if this has been addressed elsewhere in the forum: I found a similar complaint about an iPod Touch 2G as well as one also about an iPhone 3G, but neither post has received a reply.

You're asking why the iPhone 3G won't do something that Apple specifically disallowed from working.

That doesn't mean it shouldn't work, just that since it's a hack that it even functions on your device, it's not too surprising that it doesn't work properly.

I think if you want those features you need to be using redd00r or whited00r or whatever it's called, it's a version of iOS 3.x that has a lot of the 4.x and 5.x features added back in.

first u have to ssh into your device using ifile or something else. go System>Library>Coreservices>Springboard.app>N82AP. plist>text viewer. Now make the multitasking to true from false. Also add
<key/>opengles-2</key>
<true/>
and reboot it you will have it working
