jailbroken iphone on ATT???
hey guys
i now have a sony ericson phone on ATT and i have no data plan on it. i jailbreaked my iphone 3G and i was wondering if i can put my sim card in the iPhone and can i use it like a normal phone without using the internet and not have to pay the crazy monthly payments.
thank you

Well sure you can, but a data-plan actually offers you a lower rate for purchasing more data. Think of it like a mobile plan. You pay a monthly fee and for that fee you recieve some usage included. Depending on which plan you go on will determine how much you pay for excess usage over your data plan.
If you have no data plan and you use the internet, you will bve charged in a PAYG manner, which usually costs much more.
For example, my provider offers $30 data pack for 300 MB a month.
With no datapack, PAYG price is $1 per MB. So it would cost me 10 times as much without a data plan.
Now if you choose not to have a data plan and do not use the internet, you will be charged nothing since it is billed on a PAYG basis.
Hope you understand this and you find a viable solution to your situation
