so my iphone 3g recently gave out. its stuck in restore mode. ive tried restoring using DFU and regular. no luck i keep getting itunes error 6. after a few minutes of "waiting for iphone" im wondering if it could be a bad battery? or am i just doing somthing wrong, the iphone will turn on but will not go past the apple sign.

any help would be appreciated.
