Have you tried to fully charge the phone, then let the battery die out multiple times? That did the trick for me when I experienced this issue. Basically give it a couple cycles of full charge to dead.

Yeah, done that 2-3 times. Still dies out at 10%.

Am I the only one facing this issue?
I'm getting great battery life apart from this minor issue (approx 3 days) so I'm reasonably confident my battery isn't faulty. Any geniuses?

I am also not satisfied with my battery. It lasts so little. I can't go out with it only for this battery problem. I wish i could through it away.

Restore and setup as new phone ... dont restore from backup..
then you can expect some improvement in battery performance.

I'm actually getting veeeery good battery life despite the fact the phone dies out at 10%. Anyways, I always set it up as a new phone instead of restoring from a backup.
My current battery life is 3 days approx, the only issue is that I can't use the last 10%. I might be able to push this to 4 days if I can utilize the 10%!

It is a self protection thing.. it can stress out and potentially permanently damage lithium ion batteries to discharge them completely. So the iPhone firmware shuts the phone down at around 10% to preserve the long term capacity of the battery.
They really should report this 10% as 0% to avoid you being confused.
It can also be a sign that your battery has a slightly lower workable capacity than it had when it was made and that your phone needs to recalibrate the battery.
Lithium Ion batteries last longer if they are charged whenever possible rather than always waiting for them to be totally flat before charging. You should do a full discharge/charge cycle no more frequently than once a month.
