Default iphone 3g wont turn on

    Hello in a newbie

I have a iphone 3g it worked fine before i change the screen as it was cracked now the phone wont turn on .Its stuck with the usb cable and itunes symbol on the screen.I have bought another lcd and screen but still the same .In itunes when i try a restore in version is says n/a ? also i keep getting error 40 then if i use ipsw 4.0 i get 3194 i have used tried tiny umbrella to get round this but then get another error.

Is there a straight forward fix or should i just sell on ebay.

    Thanks Tony

    Did you copy/paste the "%AppData%\Apple Computer\iPhone Updater Logs\" correctly?

The error message you quote has a typo in it: apple computor should be apple computer

Try just %AppData%\ and navigate from there to the correct subdirectory

If you actually read the instructions in the thread I linked to, they clearly tell you to publish logs on pastebin or pastie NOT directly in a reply here at hackint0sh. I'll chalk that up as a beginners mistake and have politely moved your log to pastebin.com

Please NEVER do this again, it is not very considerate for others browsing threads to force them to scroll through (potentially) many pages of inline logs.

Back to the log you posted. That wasn't a restore log and is pretty useless to me. Please take another look at the instructions and see if you can find the correct log. A clue: last time you posted a log file from %AppData%\Apple Computer\Logs - next time look in %AppData%\Apple Computer\iTunes\iPhone Updater Logs - this where the useful logs are located.
