No, you can't insert iPhone 3G to Iphone craddle.

can v1 craddle be "dremel-ed" to allow the 3g to fit? or is that different?

then yes you can. its the same dock connector so it should fit if you dremel the edges... take a look at the new dock and it will tell you how to dremel it

I am using an old dock from iPod days and it fits but it does pop up and tell me it's not compatible - still works tho
