    Default iphone 3G w/ 2.1 Help

Hi everyone, sorry if this would seem to be a silly post, but I'm really new with iPhone...

Recently I got my first apple product, an iphone 3G w/ Version 2.1(5F136) 16GB Model MB496T, (BTW I'm an expat in Abu Dhabi, UAE - w/ etisalat as carrier, on iPhone status, it says carrier 2.6), I dont know if it is factory unlocked but the sim card here works w/o the turbo sim...

iPhone is not officially released here but iTunes is working fine...

The question is, if I jailbreak my phone, is there a possibility that I will lose signal?

If I can jailbreak w/o losing my carrier signal, can anybody just please point me towards the right direction... I've seen some site tutorial, but not sure which ones to take... (I'm running on Vista)

Thank you so much in advance... I really need some other apps on the phone...

You should be fine after jailbreak, don't worry. Try this good tutorial: How to Jailbreak Your 2.1 3G iPhone Using QuickPwn (Windows)
