Default iPhone 3g unlock via IMEI? Check this out

While trawling one of my regular forums, i came across this post made by a well-known multifunction unlock server.

WORLD's FIRST!!! Apple iPhone full unlock only by IMEI in allGSMunlock server!!! - GSM-Forum

Now, i am a customer of this particular server and they have generally been able to fulfill their claims. However, this is a bit far out. Anyone got any idea about it?

Ok, we've posted zhis explanation how an unlock works several times, one more

To unlock an iPhone you need the NCK which is a unique 15 digit key. Those keys for unlocking are sitting on Apples servers and send to the iPhone via iTunes while the iPhone is connected to the Mac/PC.
Each iPhone has a unique HWID, NORID, CHIPID, (id's embedded in the iphone hardware/chips and unique to each phone), the NCK is only working with the one iPhone where the above are matching. The NCK does not unlock any other iPhone.
Trying to bruteforce the NCK would take years even on high-end computers (NCK Brute Force - The iPhone Wiki).
Trying to guess the NCK is limited aswell, After 5 or so unsuccessful attemts, the iPhone becomes permanently locked to the carrier - unless you're feeling really, really lucky, I wouldn't try it.

Apple has HWID, NORID, CHIPID... of all iPhones sold in countries, where the iPhone has to be sold unlocked (About activating iPhone 3G with a wireless carrier). So once a phone of those is connected via iTunes, the apple servers check HWID, NORID, CHIPID and compare it to their database. If the matching iPhone is marked "factory unlocked" the Apple servers send the unique NCK for this iPhone.
So, if they would fulfill - and I doubt - they would have to have access to Austrailan providers servers (they can start the official unlock process for their customers), then would have to have the ability to send the info to Apples servers, where they are cross-checked again.

    One word: BULL...

Now, to finish off this particular thread after a 2 year hiatus, I can now say, YES! It does work. Allgsmunlock does provide unlock for all models of iPhone on various networks. I can confirm this as I have personally unlock 3 iPhone 3g and 4 3gs as well as 1 iPhone 4 on various network providers. This is a confirmed official unlock as all the iphones I unlocked through this service are still unlocked. After the unlock was processed and confirmed, all that was required was a connection to itunes and viola! Iphones unlocked... even my very own iPhone 4. So, its not bull.... full list of supported carriers and costs are on allgsmunlock's home page... www . Allgsmunlock . com
