at the austrian border I had to pay 20% austrian VAT (60 Euro for the 8GB). From austria to hungary you must not pay anything because of the EU. If you're flying you are lucky and can pay the VAT of your home country at the gate.

if you leave switzerland you have to pay the VAT where you cross the border. If you take the plane you have to declare at the airport you leave. If you travel by car or train or bus you have to declare at the border you cross after switzerland (austria, france, germany) and there to declare that you want to import something into the EU.

I'm not sure but I think you can also declare that you just want to pass through the EU and then you do not have to pay in EU but at the norwegian border - but I do not know. Since you're going through plane and do not leave the airport within the EU it's easy for you...

Of course you paid also swiss sales Tax and after crossing the border and declaring you can get it within 6 month back from that swiss shop where you bought it - except you bought in duty free shop...
