Will it be possible maybe to sim spoof a 3g? I have about 30 of the damned things layin around and thought it may be worth looking into! If i can just get one that is not activated... hmmm??? Any ideas?

all iphones needa be activated to be used, even the old iphone with sim spoof required activation first. so im gonna say no

i actually believe that the iPhone 3G may be Sim unlocked before it will be software unlocked.

because activating iPhone 2.0 Firmware is going to be allot easier than unlocking the new 3G chip/baseband.

but the Dev Team as usual will provide the solution or give an answer

current unlock solutions will not work without GeoHotz around for a new GunLock for the new 3G baseband, so who knows when a true software unlock will happen.

I don't think so as Apple has already implemented the SIM check on baseband level in 1.14 and STK is not initialized if the baseband didn't register the SIM card with the provider before. Therefore I do not see how a STK spoof without a modified baseband can take place
