Here is the deal..
I called rogers on the phone and got some dude who told me that Rogers does not have a policy to replace a lost iphone with another iphone!
They can replace it (when you pay full price of the phone) with any other phone BUT NOT AN IPHONE.
He said that there are only 2 ways to get an iphone in Canada and from Rogers. Either by signing the 3 yr contract or by hardware upgrade (which we can only do in 1 year from now).
He said, if you have lost your phone there is no way for you to get one from Rogers.
THIS IS UNREAL.....
Can anyone please confirm this by calling and asking the same type of question.
And no i have not lost my iphone. I think i will stab my self in the forehead if I lose my iphone 3g so no plans on doing that anytime soon.

This is here in Canada? If this is so how can they be responsible for you damaging the phone? can you explain some more?

so if im getting a replacement for my CRAPPY iphone, overheating issue and weird sounds ever since i got it, can i just keep them both and pay the difference? or will they block one?
and how will i go about unbricking it? just as i did for the first one? or will iTunes send my info to rogers telling them that i opened up the new one?

I can confirm this, I've just lost/got stolen mine, no way Rogers can replace it, it's the worst mistake I've ever done regarding cell phone, I only use a cell phone and now I'm out completely.
The confirmed that they will not replace it, nor will they even sell me a new one at full price.
So I'm left holding a very expensive data plan, and can't use it, it was the most stupid thing I've ever done buying the iPhone, a great product, so amazing it blinded me from seeing the real-life details, outcome of loosing a phone that happens to tons of people.
VERY, VERY Expensive lesson, but at least I know better now.
