well, at least we know it is a li-ion 3.7v bettery. Can anyone find the mAh for it? S/N does not seem to give any results

also any idea which of them is the GPS chip?

Great news!
The LCD and touch panel now are separated components.
That was a tremendous flaw on the first gen iphone.
In the other hand, now the logic and comm boards are one component. That replacement will be very expensive...

Do you mean the FRONT glass is part of the LCD??????
IDIOTS!
No wonder apple wanted so much money to repair my scratched front.
What kind of a moron glues the LCD to the most likely to get scratched part of the phone!

Nop, now the front glass is glued with the touch panel, the LCD is a separated component. Just like the ipod touch.

The model/type number is listed at the top: APC:616-0372
Besides, the side bar on the article tells you:
"We were all expecting a bigger battery, and I can't verify this, but this page references the part number on the battery and lists a capacity of 1150 mAh, not the 1400 mAh in the original. Can anyone dig up more information?"

http://certificates.iecee.org/cbtest...6?OpenDocument At the time of my post this line was not there, and my search on the serial number did not yeld the expected results (maybe my search skills suck).
Anywho, I would have expected a better bettery :\ at lease 1400mah ... oh well. Maybe extended betteries will be available soon, at least it would be relativelly easy to replace.
Thanks for the info btw
