iPhone 3G is an unlocked version selling in Hong Kong. But you need a 2 year contract and prepayment by credit card.

Carrier official shop do not sell without Hong Kong ID card and Credit Card issued in Hong Kong.
The best place for non-resident people to look for "Hong Kong version SIM free iPhone 3G" is Sin Tat Plaza in Mongkok.
Many shops are re-selling it, of cource with some premium. But no HK ID, no credit card, no contract.

Not Worth It
So pretty much there is no sense in buying an iPhone over in either Hong Kong or Thailand rather then the United States. (No sense to spend HK$ 11,000 just to get an iPhone while it is cheaper in the US). Anybody know anything in Thailand?
