Default iPhone 3G not showing on Windows Explorer - "My Computer" - Windows XP

I'm not sure about the following statement, but it seems that since I've updated my XP Machine to service Pack 3, Windows explorer does not show the iPhone icon anymore (used to do it with my iPhone 2G and the 3G probably before the sp3 update)...

So I can't get/save the pictures taken with the iPhone...

However, the device is seen by the Device Manager as an "Imaging Device" -> "Apple iphone" and my iTunes (8.0.2.20) has no problem sync'ing with it.

I've tried to enable/disable the device, restart the iphone, etc...

    and even follow troubleshooting from:

    - iPod missing in "My Computer" or in iTunes for Windows

    and

    - Device Manager and Network Connections may be blank after you install Windows XP Service Pack 3 (seems MSFT has issue with device managers mgnt on Service Packs updates , but even this does not work for me ...)

Has anybody experienced this and found a workaround?

    Thanks for your help!

ok, after reading more posts on internet. I found a solution.

    - Device Manager -> Imaging Device -> Apple iPhone -> Uninstall
    - unplug/plug the iPhone, wait a bit for windows to reconginze and make changes (in Device Manager, you will see the new recognized Device changing from "digital camera" to "Apple Iphone"
    - F5 to refresh your windows explorer -> Apple iPhone will finally appear with a camera Icon!...

    Default

Thank you juanmarco the solution involving Device Manager worked perfectly for me :-)

WINDOWS 7 users: Just a note, on Windows 7 you will find the iphone device underneath Universal Serial Bus Controllers - Apple Mobile Device USB Driver within Device Manager (which can be found by right-clicking My Computer within the start menu, and selecting Manage.
