answered my own question... yes it does work with 1.1.4 but only with a valid sim

What exactly does work ?

-restore with original 1.1.4 ipsw file and then usage of valid sim it really does activate and unlock ?

- so if the above does work i can just restore beta8 with the at&t sim in it and activate it ?
- unlock is already done because of the dev-team exploit so i presume it stays there ?

well... it cant unlock, but yes it activates it

we must aprehend the ability of this iTunes to unlock 3g

Questions is, what exactly can one do with the store activation, or genius mode active?
