Default [iPhone 3G] iPhone as a portable hard drive?

I was about to buy a USB flash drive when I thought that perhaps I can use my jailbroken iPhone as one instead. I have a MAC but need to access the files that I put on my iPhone on public computers (library), both PC and MAC (if it has to be only one, that's fine). And the files are mostly documents (.pdf, .rtf, .docx, stuff like that).

    Thanks.

There are many APP's, from Cydia and APP Store, that can turn your iPhone into a Flash Drive.

And you can, now, get to what files you want, with WinScp. Login onto your phone by SSH and you'll see your iPhone as a disk drive.

What are some of the names of the programs on Cydia, if you don't mind me asking?

Also, if I SSH into my iPhone and put a file on it, I don't think I can retrieve it through SSH on a public computer (as the necessary program, e.g. cyberduck, won't be there). Am I right?

You would have to have WinSCP in any PC in order to get SSH access to the iPhone.

Here are the name of some App's
    • Air Sharing
    • Datacase
    • Mobile Finder
    • Briefcase

Don't know if they are ported to 3.0 though.

I like diskAid. Installed it just last night. It's running without any kind of problem. Using my iphone as flash drive.
