    I wonder what would happen if you got the contract and just said "Oops I lost it", how much would it cost then.

    Yes you can, but the penality if FULL remaining monthly fees! Basically there's no point to terminate..

    Today I got one from 3 shop in HK.
    It is not SIM Locked. Works with another carriers' SIM



    Aready tried

    - China Mobile
    - Hong Kong CSL
    - Hong Kong Peoples
    - Hong Kong Smartone

    All works fine.

    Does the fact that the phone is unlocked really change anything? You're already stuck with your operator in China for the next 2 years and whether you use the telephone or not you're still going to pay each month whether you use another carrier's SIM or not and probably pay 3G la carte as well (more expensive).

    In conclusion, that's really great news. But it'll only come in handy if you're traveling.

    If it weren't for the fact that unlocking all iPhone's will make stealing them more interesting, I'd say that Apple should have done this for all countries.

    I just got a set from HK and it require activiation. I do not have a HK's 3 SIM. Can I activiate thru normal itune (Ver 7.7) with another country carrier sim ? Thanks
