Does anyone know if it is possible to signup for a new AT&T line of service. Then, say, 10 days later after you have your first bill/account number, go to Verizon and do a Number Portability onto a new account with them. (that would automatically terminate your line with AT&T). Since it was in the first 30 days I would assume no $175 ETF???

WTF....why would you do this. You can't use the iPhone with Verizon.

LOL... I think everyone knows you can't use the iPhone on Verizon! The purpose of porting the number in the first 30days would be to get an iPhone for $299 (with no $175 ETF) that you can use on AT&T with the $15 Media Net unlimited plan dude.

If you port the number over, you are essentially canceling your service.
You're required to return the phone, but I don't know how they are going to force you to do so.
Probably they will put a charge (if you don't return the phone) along with the partial monthly fee.
