[iPhone 3G][Belgium] Warranty for the officially unlocked ?
Hi!
How long is the original warranty length for the iPhone 3G? And what is the warranty when bought unlocked from Belgium?
I just read a post from a newspaper about iPhones in Russia, where they explained that the phones are delivered from Belgium and that the warranty is 6 months. Is the warranty for iPhone 3G in belgium really 6 months?
iPhone 8gb -> 1.1.1 -> 1.1.2 (BL 3.9)

No the waranty is minimum 1 year in belgium for electric devices. And this is also on mobile phones. In some stores only the battery has a waranty of 6 months.

Hi,
I'm from belgium, and Apple gives a 1year warrenty + mobistar (the belgian carrier) gives one more year,
so 2 years for a belgian iPhone, however you have to return it to belgium if you have a problem

Can anyone confirm this?
Sim Free iPhones in Belgium?
How Much?

The Iphones you buy in Belgium (only true Mobistar and Switch shops) should be all simlock free. It's forbidden by law to sell mobile phones for only 1 provider so...
8gb version is €525
16gb is €615
But good luck finding one...

Hi, as far as I know Iphones bought in Belgium are legally unlock but they will just work with Belgium companies. Can someone please confirm it?
Is it possible to buy an unlocked Iphone in Belgium and it will work with SIMs from all countries like it happens with the italian ones?
Thx in advance

Ordered one up from my local Mobistar store and got it within five days. According to the sales guy this is normal. Currently it's only one phone per person, but this will change. As for the SIM free - it is. I've tried a UK and German SIM in the phone with no problems. Nothing 'special' happens at activation, just install your non-Mobistar SIM into the iPhone and load up iTunes - it'll recognize the iPhone and then start the setup procedure.
