    Mine lasted about 9 hours. But honestly i i kept playing with it, browsing, listening 2 music and trying to locate myself every 10 mins. So i guess its fair enough. But i kinda feel like its kinda slow 4 some reason.

    My advice, turn off 3g when you are not using safari or youtube. These are the only times you really need 3g.

    One thing to keep in mind, you do want to pre-long that battary life as long as you can anyway so that you dont endup replacing it sooner than you should...my 2 cents anyway...

    It kind of doesn't make sense to turn 3G off all the time - I mean - how stupid and kind of hard would it be to have to go into settings each time I want to browse?? Sometimes, I browse for just a bit every 30 minutes or so? Disable and enable 3G all the time??? No, thanks...

    So is it really that bad??? Compared to 1.1.4??? I'm just about to be getting one, let me know guys... LOL

    I restored my iPhone 3G with the newest firmware and spent 3-4 hours listening to music today and 3 hours browsing the internet AT THE SAME TIME! (I was on a train so it was going in and out from 3G to EDGE to GPRS) and about 3 hours standby and now I am at 10%!

    Is anyone else having such poor battery life?

    I really think 3 hours or so of browsing and music should not run the battery down to 10%!?!?
    iPhone US 8GB
    FW 1.0.2--> iUnlock--> iPhoneSIMfree--> 1.1.1 --> 1.1.2--> Soft upgrade 1.1.3 --> 1.1.4 using signal.app
    iPhone UK 16GB
    FW 1.1.3 OOB --> 1.1.4 --> iPlus 1.2 unlocked!

    What about people who dont want a 3G iphone but now obviosuly have to get one to use with 2G

    In this case with 3G permanently turned off is the battery an improvement over the 1st gen iphones???
