Default [iPhone 3g] Battery Hardware Question

Hi, I have seen a lot of talk about the battery life of the 3g. However what i have not seen answered (if it has sorry) is does it have a different battery capacity to the original. I would like to know if i used it exactly the same as an original, no g3, not push, no gps, ect would it last longer or the same. My interest is solely on battery and chip improvements for the parts that are the common.

I realize its not a good real world comparison but I am just curious if they have been able to make any energy efficiency or battery size/storage improvements between versions.

    Thanks

    dominicmck,
You could go to iphoneincanada.ca where they talked about how to improve the battery usage on the 3G.
