    Default [iPhone 3G][2.0.2][SOLVED] No EDGE

I'm on a Pwned 8gb 3G with a TornadoSIM. Ive been using the TSim with no major issues for almost 2 weeks. Yesterday, I updated to 2.0.2 using PwnageTool and everything was great. However earlier today, EDGE fell off and I haven't been able to get it back. My wife has a 2G Pwned phone and she is getting EDGE. I have tried internet2, internet3 and wap for the APN settings but with no luck. I've even tried using the T-Zone hack even though I'm subscribing to the Total Internet plan.

Anyone else having similar issues or have any idea whats going on?

The t-zones hack will do the opposite with a total internet package. Make sure that hack is totally off the phone. Then reset your network settings, and retype internet2.voicestream.com. Also make sure your data roaming is on, and 3G is off.

Still no luck. I followed all your suggestions and even tried the different APNs. I've read that some users using T-Zones that have lost EDGE have discovered that T-Moble may have changed proxy settings. Could that affect a Total Internet user?

I'd like to mention that there is no icon next to my carrier regarding EDGE, not even the idle icon; the blue square with the white circle.

I may try to re-Pwn my 3g if worse comes to worse.

    SOLVED?!!

I swapped my SIM card into an 2G iPhone that had EDGE working. That 2G recognized my SIM and EDGE popped up. Then I took my SIM and put it back into my 3G with TornadoSIM and EDGE started working again.

Default It happens again and again....any solution?

The method, putting the sim in another phone and putting it back, works. However, whenever I charge it, both via usb cable hence connecting and syncing to itune and directly from the outlet, the edge icon disappears and i have to do it all over again. Any solution?

I'm having the same problem. Whenever I charge my phone it just kills the edge and I have to reset network and then input epc.tmobile.com and reset the phone for the edge to come back.

I'm having a similar problem as well. I'm on a Hong Kong unlocked iPhone. After 1st activation everything worked fine. A couple of days later 3G/Edge just disapeared. I restored the phone and got 3G/Edge back up, but after a couple of days it was just gone again. Another restore, back to normal and once I lost signal in the elevator, 3G/Edge never came back up again.

This is very frustrating. I'm going to try to swap sim cards on another working Edge phone, but it seems that this is not a permanent solution.

    Any other thoughts?

Default same problem /no edge on iPhone 3g

I have the same problem only with my iPhone 3g.

No solution so far other than taking off the sim and install it in another 1st generation iphone, browse few pages then get the sim back to the 3g iphone.

Sometime (like 2 out of 10 trials) it works when you install boss pref tools and toggle Edge on and off and on several times and then reboot the phone, you get the Edge icon back. given that there should be no wifi signal in the area or you delete your wifi setting through Setting>>General>>Wifi connection>>"your Wifi">>Forget this network. Plus keep 3g off and data roaming on.

As per apple, (the connection to the internet is automatically changed from high speed wifi connection to slower 3g and then to slower edge just to keep you connected). It seems the script in concern is not working to do the second downgrade "from 3g to edge".

I'll keep trying to find a solution.

Guys please post any working/not working trials...

dont need to pop it to another phone, just pop the sim tray out enough for the phone to said "No Sim", then push it back in and restart the phone.
