Hello all I am new here and I am after some help please.
I recently purchased a second hand 3g iphone from ebay.
Anyway received the phone put in a 02 3g sim card that I no is ok because I have used it in another phone.
But no matter what I do reset settings etc I can get no signal at all, so I decided to ring o2 and was totally blown away to find that the imei had been blacklisted and the previous owner had reported it lost a while back.
I asked them should I return it to o2 and they said no because the owner had received a new phone through insurance.
I went back on ebay to try and get a refund but what would you know the seller has gone.
Anyway my question is this I have read somewhere if I get another pcb and change it into my iphone this will put a different imei into phone then I just need to jailbreak phone and unlock it with blacksn0w.
If this is correct and will work by changing pcb board i have seen phones damaged etc on ebay and was thinking of buying one for spares and using its pcb board.
Any help would be very much appreciated

I dont see why this is in the blacksn0w thread? But anyway - return it via eBay as its not fit for purpose...

You can replace the hardware but for effort to impact ratio, you may as well buy another imho...

I agree, the seller was a scammer, get eBay to refund your money. Not related to blacksn0w either.
