I have a Jailbroken iPhone (3G) and I currently have 2.2 software installed.

I want to upgrade to 2.2.1 but am unsure of the process.

I already have Pwnage and Quickpwn tools but am unsure as to the process.

What is a IPSW file?

Should I download the Firmware file from the idev team website or should I use one of these tools to create my own.

Can someone please lay down the process in a step by step fashion for a layman.

I'm really not too clued on this whole thing.

I'd appreciate any help I can get.

But if your on 2.2 now I mite suggest you stay on 2.2 because there really isn't anything different on 2.2.1 worth making the upgrade 4.

2.2.1 was released mainly to break the yellowsn0w process

GPS has street view.
GPS without Street View is kinda lame.
