Default how to Send AT Commands to iPhone 3G modem?

Is there a way to send AT commands to the iPhone 3g modem?
I know that for the 1st generation iPhone there was a small command line application called sendmodem. is there a similar tool for the iPhone 3G?

Of course there is a way.you need to use minicom.i don't remember the path but you need to put some files and respect some path.after that you can run minicom and play with AT command. try AT+CLAC it will give you suported command.

OK I was able to find minicom however it appears that the baseband file name on the 3G is not the same as it was on the 1st generation iPhone.
On the 1st generation it was /dev/tty.baseband any idea how would it be called on the 3G?

    Thanks!

What I did is download sendmodem from

    http://code.google.com/p/iphone-elit...m.zip&can=2&q=

    then copied it to /usr/bin.
    Ran ldid -S /usr/bin/sendmodem
Then I was able to run the AT commands fine even on 3G. I used it to set my phone number to be displayed in iTunes.
