Hi Guys

I have an iphone 3g jailbroken
firmWare: 3.0(7A341)
Modem Firmware: 04.26.08
i have no issues with the phone but as i am going overseas on holiday i tried to insert a sim from another service provide and what do you know!!!....its locked to the SP that i have my contract with.Apart from forking out the cash to the SP is there any other way to unlock it.

Go to cydia
In Cydia go to the Manage Tab in the bottom
From there go to Sources
Then tap on edit on top right then add on top left
and add this source ultrasn0w.com
after it refreshes
search for ultrasn0w and install and reboot
u now have an unlocked iphone
Note: its ultasn0w not ultrasnow (its a zero)

the source is repo666 .ultrasn0w .com

*remove the spaces
