    16gb 3g, fresh from store with 2.0 activated. upgraded to 2.1 with itunes 8, tried a custom firmware from iphonefix.de and it says an unknown error occured 1600

    dude, I already tried a custom firmware as I have stated in my first post, and it didn't work......... what else would help me on a torrent?
