    Otherwise OP try a second PC with your custom ipsw and If that doesn't work I still recommend trying another custom firmware because it was the reason I had the 1600 error message.

    i live in romania man, NO one has a Mac around where I live.... Just windows ppl and some linux guys... All pc, no mac....... HELP, i'm desperate! I just got the phone yesterday.......

    All custom firmwares from iphonefix working. The 2.1 is made with Pwnage 2.1 and no problems with that firmware so far. There is a non activated for 2.1 too, maybe you can try this one if you have a normal contract.

    as you can see from shades post, the firmware is not the problem.... I really don't see the reason for which a bigger or smaller partition would generate the error..... Can someone just find the fix for this, 'cause I'm not an iphone genius, but LOTS of people are having theese errors, minly ppl without a Mac, 'cause no one bothered to make quickpwn or winpwn available for windows...........
