Default [help] my HK unlocked OTB 3G iphone is now locked after reset and erase...

i have a HK 3G iphone in hand which is not locked when i bought it.... but somehow my dear friend decided to fool around and select reset and erase all

now my iphone is locked, but i'm using tornado sim with the latest update (which is now i think is better than universal sim because it could make calls on 3G network) so everythings is ok...

but i really need it to be unlocked again like when i bought it, anybody here ever have experience with OTB unlocked iphone here? and knew how to make it unlocked again?

i wonder why the unlock was not permanent? mmm so if the unlocked iphone that is sold by operators were not permanently unlocked i think right now there should be a real solution of unlocking 3G iphone, one the hand of those operators tech dept...

    thanks

Pull in your SIM without the proxyadapter and activate it trough iTunes should solve the problem.

i don't have the original sim from the operator and now i'm in another country...

does that prevent me to activate through iTunes? (i think it will ask or the original SIM operator which it was lock to)

Did you buy an Apple factory unlocked iPhone 3G? I guess not. If this would be the case you could use it with any simcard worldwide and activate with iTunes without any problem.
If it's one of the so-called unlocks with a sim adapter, it's not real unlocked iPhone and the thread should be in the Simcloning section.

    I second that.
Plug the phone in. itunes will activate it and you will be able to use it.

Just insert any sim and click update on ur PC itunes (version7.7)... A msg will pop out saying "an update on the network" and u just click ok...

That's all... It will then be unlock again...

Why are you using turbo sim cards when you have an unlocked phone? With an unlocked phone you don't need turbo sim since... it's unlocked from the beginning...
