HELP with activating an iPhone 3G !!! PLEASE
Hi guys, i mhave a 2 years contract with BASE for 2 iPhones 3G in Germany, after an update to 2.2.1 my phone don't want to activate, still my fathers iPhone is activated after update. What could be the reason?
While the update my fathers iPhone was with the original BASE sim card and mine with another carrier....could this be the reason i cannot activate it anymore ? i tried also a restore and tried to activate it with T-MOBILE, VODAFONE, E+PLUS, BASE(E+Plus) .... i don't know what to do, i`m locked since the update came .... please give me some advices ..... i also got to E+Plus, thei tried with Rebel sim card, Turbo sim, nothing works for this damn phone.....(I read on the forum some interresants topics and they say that i should have activated the phone with the original carrier sim card - as my father did, becouse it writes something on the baseband, and can be unlockble etc)
I still have the Warranty, do they accept it back and give me another phone in exchange ? (not that i need another one, at least to fix it) because all they told me was "I`m sorry"
NOTICE:
First time i received the phone wasn't activated, so i went back to them to activate it, and after that i found Cydia and Installer installed (so this means they jailbreaked my iPhone to get passed activation and used Yellowsn0w to unlock it - is this allowed, from a Carrier to do that ?), this meand this phone was never activated ? it also writes on the back of the BOX - T-MOBILE in hungarian language !!! i just don't know what to do, sorry to bother you guys, i just need my iPhone back, tell me exactly what to do....thx in advace, forgive my english
