Grayed out Wifi - 3G 4.2.1 BB 06.15.00
Sup,
I've looked up numerous solutions to the grayed out wifi problem on the iphone. I've reset and reloaded stock firmware several times.
I wanted to try the DevTeam swifi solution, but you have to downgrade to 1.1.4 to get it working and i'm not sure if that's possible with an redsn0w/ultrasn0w 4.2.1 BB 06.15.00 3g iPhone.
I really need wifi as i don't have a data plan, so any help or link is greatly appreciated!
Thanks

There is no way to run that swifi fix on a a 3GS You wouldn't want to anyway as the DevTeam swifi solution only fixes a problem created by bad unlocks on the iPhone 2G in the iOS 1.x days. The iPhone 3G uses a different radio/baseband chip to the 2G.
It was a really stupid idea to upgrade to 06.15.00 baseband in hope of fixing what is probably a hardware problem with your wifi.
What baseband bootloader do you have?
I've posted many times about how to use syslog or the log option in the "iphone enterpise configuration" utility to identify what type of wifi problem you have. The problem with 3G and 3GS is that there are several different causes for wifi problems, mostly they require hardware fixes.

Without a syslog, I can't tell you if it is hardware related or not.
