going back to 2.1, can it be done?
hey guys and gals, was just wondering if it is possible 2 put the phones firmware back to 2.1, as i was using a turbo sim as an unlocking option, but made the mistake of upgrading with the hope yellowsnow would work, but have been getting the same problems as alot of ppl with not bein able 2 make or recieve calls etc.
so need to downgrade to get my turbosim to work again.
can this be done or have i shot myself in the foot.
any info welcome.
thanks in advance.

You can`t downgrade. Upgrading was a one way ticket.

I did the same thing, now my turbosim wont work.
I am pretty sure somewhere somehow someone knows how to downgrade :/

There were tons of info regarding downgrading ( which can`t be done ) and turbosims + 2.28 baseband. Use the search.

Downgrading from 2.2 to 2.1 is certainly possible, but it doesnt help you.
As u cannot downgrade the 2.28 Baseband or Modem Firmware.
That one cannot be downgraded, erased, formatted.. nothing...
Sorry u are stuck.
That being said there are turbosim solutions u can get on ebay.
Not the one u have, ull need another, but u might as well wait till they finish yellowsn0w.

1. Try using the latest yellowsn0w (0.9.6 version)
2. You can go back to 2.1 but you baseband is going to be 2.28.0, so its basically waste of time.
3. i think there is a hard way to delete baseband. i remember reading about it somewhere in this forum. but it requires lots of expertise on iPhone hardware (not a beginner thingy).
best advice is, try yellowsn0 in different way over and over. it have worked for almost everyone out there.
